The only thing anyone could talk about after the game was the stopping of the national anthem. It’s a little odd that this happened now though, as the Mavs had not played the National anthem before any of their home games dating back to the pre-season.

The Brooklyn Nets receive James Harden and a 2024 second round pick. The Cleveland Cavaliers receive Jarrett Allen, Aleksander Vezenkov, and Taurean Prince. The Houston Rockets acquire Caris LaVert, Dante Exum, and Rodions Kurucs, along with the right to four pick swaps with the Nets and three additional first round selections from the Nets.

The NBA kicked off last night and it was wonderful to have it back in our lives. The NBA is a league driven by its stars in a way no other professional sports league is. So what better way to celebrate the beginning of the new season than by ranking the top twenty-five players in the NBA.

I am going to go through every single round of the playoffs. I actually won’t give more than a sentence or two on the first two rounds because seeding is so fickle. However what I will do is go relatively in depth on my picks for conference matchups and obviously my Finals pick.

So the Los Angeles Lakers just won their twelfth NBA Finals. They did it on the backs of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but mostly LeBron James. This raises a lot of questions, not all about the Lakers.

Did I respect the time he blew out his achilles tendon and then walked back onto the court to nail two free throws? Of course I did. To this day that is easily the most cold-blooded thing I have ever seen on the hardwood.
