This year’s NFL Draft is one of those ones we may look back on in 10-15 years as an NFL turning point. There is the potential for seven different QBs in this class to be legitimate starters for teams in the near future, with up to three or four being high impact, franchise defining guys.

I get all of my information from reporters far more plugged in than I am and a pretty decent understanding of who in this draft is good and what various NFL Teams need to hopefully improve their rosters. Which in no way means you shouldn’t listen to me. In fact it means the opposite. If you like Danny Kelly’s Mock, or Mel Kipers, there’s no tangible reason mine isn’t just as accurate. And I say that… because we are about to get WEIRD

At the 14:24 mark of the 4th quarter, Green Bay Packers punter Jon Ryan kicked a ball to the Chicago Bears’ returner, a thing he had done four times prior. Those four previous punts had resulted in 18 total return yards and one touchback. Then, 45 and a half minutes into a game long lost, the Packers special teams unit assisted in starting something the league had never seen, and will never see again. They punted the ball to a man who would juke and weave his way into the NFL history books and change the game of football forever.

The NFL Draft really does hold a special place in the hearts of sports fans. The NBA and NHL Playoffs are in full swing, baseball hasn’t gotten boring yet, and MMA and Boxing are hitting their summer blockbuster stride. Yet the NFL Draft lauds over these puny institutions as though it were some overwhelming force of nature; unavoidable and unignorable.

The other rule, at least for this first mock draft, is that this is a determination of what I think these teams should do with their picks. I will likely get a lot of this wrong but as it currently stands, it feels too early to accurately predict what some of these insane organizations will do with their picks. Maybe after the combine I will update this with trades and randomness. For now, let’s do some mocking. With the First Overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select:

The 2022-2023 NFL season kicks off tomorrow. One day until the world emerges from months of lonely, dark wandering through the barren wilderness that is the “off-season.” I kid, of course, this website wouldn’t have a purpose if I only cared about one sport; that said this is still the best time of the year. The NFL is hard to top in terms of excitement and intrigue and this year will be no different.

Who wouldn’t want to see the best clubs in soccer playing a couple more games per year? Unfortunately for me, this naïve thought experiment I had conducted was nothing more than an idyllic charade insulating me from the tragedy of an impending reality.

This year Wrestlemania was being classed as one of the worst built ones of all time. Every single feud going into this was either three weeks old or so underwhelming in terms of story-telling that almost no one cared. Then the actual matches took place. Wrestlemania 37 had a bad omen when Night One began with a forty-minute rain delay. Once the matches started though, it was off to the races.

I get hyped up about the good storylines, disappointed in the bad ones, and I dissect matches and the skill required to pull them off like a coroner doing an autopsy. One question that has consistently come up when I try to talk about wrestling with the people who don’t get it is, “Why would you watch that if it’s all fake?”

The performance United turned in was one of their best of the season, and it came against a team in arguably the best form in all of European soccer. As a United supporter, I should be thrilled. So why am I not?

Eight total games took place over the course of eight days. The Champions League knockout stage is in full effect and I could not be more excited. Then the games happened and I am less excited as the vast majority of them were mostly uninteresting.

I wrote an article two to three weeks ago about the five teams I saw as legitimate title contenders in the English Premier League. Those teams were Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Manchester City. Since writing that article, that whole list has lost all of its meaning and I should just delete it to save myself any further embarrassment.

UFC 258 and UFC 257 have a few similarities. The undercards were both a bit thin, yet over-delivered, and the main fights on the cards were stellar bouts that lived up to the hype. However, with Saturday's card, we had one major difference. The main event of UFC 258 featured arguably the greatest welterweight in UFC history.

The only thing anyone could talk about after the game was the stopping of the national anthem. It’s a little odd that this happened now though, as the Mavs had not played the National anthem before any of their home games dating back to the pre-season.

So the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just won the Super Bowl. The score was a brutal 31-9 trouncing. As it turns out, missing the vast majority of your offensive line is a really good way to get your ass kicked by one of the five best defensive lines in all of football.

In my opinion, there are five legitimate candidates to win the League this year, and coincidentally they are the top five teams in the league. Those teams are currently Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Tottenham in that order.

The lightweight division has legitimate title contenders from six to one. The top six guys that will be vying for Khabib’s soon to be vacated belt are all incredible. There are however some glitches and matchmaking nightmares to sort out.

This is it, The penultimate week of NFL football is upon us. The best of the best have made it to the final four of the nation’s most popular sport. The divisional round was set to be a fantastic showcase of premier NFL talent and, for the most part, it delivered on that promise.

The Brooklyn Nets receive James Harden and a 2024 second round pick. The Cleveland Cavaliers receive Jarrett Allen, Aleksander Vezenkov, and Taurean Prince. The Houston Rockets acquire Caris LaVert, Dante Exum, and Rodions Kurucs, along with the right to four pick swaps with the Nets and three additional first round selections from the Nets.
