I wrote an article two to three weeks ago about the five teams I saw as legitimate title contenders in the English Premier League. Those teams were Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Manchester City. Since writing that article, that whole list has lost all of its meaning and I should just delete it to save myself any further embarrassment.

In my opinion, there are five legitimate candidates to win the League this year, and coincidentally they are the top five teams in the league. Those teams are currently Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City, and Tottenham in that order.

First, does anyone else find it satisfying that on the last week of the NFL season the week numbers matched up between the two leagues? I find it to be the third best thing that happened to me all weekend.

I take wins wherever I can get them as a sports writer, and this week was absolutely a win for sports writers and fans. I may end up saying it every week, I know I said it last week, but the Premier League is the best professional sports league in the world.

Every week we get drama, intrigue, and a whole mess of highly skilled professionals showing us just how much more talented they are with their feet and heads. This week was no different.
